Terms and Contitions

  • I authorize Rock Tax Consultant to act as my agent in all proceedings before the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission and the Small Claims Assessment Review of the Supreme Court of the State of New York. This authorization applies to the filing of an application for the correction of the assessment on the 2027/28 tentative roll and/or an appeal of the final assessment roll for the property listed below. 

 

  • Unless otherwise agreed upon, I agree to pay Rock Tax Consultant INC a discounted fee of 35% of the property tax savings, any additional refund recovery, and any interest recovered (if applicable) resulting from the reduction of the 2026/27 County Assessment. This fee is in consideration of  Rock Tax Consultant filing a grievance and/or petition to correct the tentative and/or final assessment roll for the referenced tax year. 

 

  • I understand that the savings may come in the form of: 

      - A reduction in the 2027/28 school tax bill and/or general tax bill, 

      - A refund for overpayment, and/or 

      - A credit on a future tax bill. 

      In cases where a refund is issued due to an overpayment of taxes, I authorize Rock Tax Consultant, as my agent, to              collect and deposit the refund and deduct any amounts due to them.

  • If I sell or transfer the property, I will remain responsible for Rock Tax Consultant’s fee unless the purchaser signs an acceptance assigning this agreement, including all its rights and obligations. Any modification of this agreement must be in writing and signed by all parties. 

 

  • I acknowledge the following

  1. I have the right to cancel this agreement within three (3) days of signing. 

  2. If I cancel within this period or if Rock Tax Consultant does not secure a tax assessment reduction, I will receive a full refund of any fees or deposits paid, except for disbursements already made on my behalf. 

  3. I am not required to use a tax reduction service to file for or receive a tax assessment reduction. 

  4. Rock Tax Consultant is legally required to make reasonable efforts to communicate any settlement offer received during the tax assessment review process, excluding hearings or trials. 

  5. To be eligible for a tax assessment reduction and potential property tax refund, I must fall into one of the following categories: 

      - The homeowner as listed in the Nassau County Clerk’s records, 
      - An authorized agent of the homeowner, 
      - A person who has entered into a contract to purchase the property, or 
      - The estate of a deceased homeowner. 

   6. If I fail to cancel within this period, and Rock Tax Consultant has filed a tax grievance petition on my behalf, I will have           to pay $288 (two hunderd eighty eight dollars) to withdraw this petition.
